INTRODUCTION

TL;DR. We do not store or retain any of your data. Processing calendar data may include personal data. This data never leaves your local system, unless you enable the Server-side Service. When enabled, your data passes through our systems. It is never stored or logged.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you use our EventLink MacOS app and our companion server-side service at https://eventlink.host (collectively referred to as "Services") and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND WHO WE ARE

Purpose of this Privacy Policy:

This Privacy Policy aims to give you information on how EventLink processes your personal data through your use of our Services.

Controller:

EventLink is the controller and responsible for your personal data (collectively referred to as “EventLink”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy policy).

Contact Details:

THE DATA WE PROCESS

Given the nature of our Services, we process calendar information, which may include personal data such as names, addresses, or contact details if they are part of your calendar entries. However, while we process this information to deliver our service, we do not store or retain any of this personal data on our servers or systems. When the server-side service and Tana Push are disabled, the data never leaves your local system.

Local Calendar Access:

The EventLink MacOS app accesses your local calendar on MacOS and exposes it through a local API. All data remains local on your device unless the server-side service is activated.

Server-side Service:

If you choose to activate our server-side service (https://eventlink.host), the app will forward API requests from the internet to your local app. Your calendar data will pass through our service. However, we do not log, store, or retain this data in any form on our servers. The data is merely transmitted and is not persisted.

Tana Push

If you choose to activate Tana Push, events you specifically mark will be sent to Tana (https://tana.inc) using their input API. The title of the event and any notes are part of the data we send.

HOW IS YOUR DATA PROCESSED?

Your data is processed locally on your MacOS device. If you activate our server-side service, your calendar data is forwarded without being logged or stored on our servers. If you activate Tana Push, the title and notes of events marked by you will be sent to Tana (https://tana.inc).

DATA SECURITY

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your calendar data from being used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed while in transit. As no data is stored, there are no other opportunities for unauthorized access.

DATA RETENTION

We will not retain your data.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, and to object to processing. Having said that, we do not store any of your data.

UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in response to changing legal, technical, or business developments.
