Friday Release Node

📆 Date: Friday, June 30th, 2023

Improvements:

🔖 You can now group by tag. 🎉
💬 You can now filter and group by contextual content. 🎉
📆 You can now use ‘Move node’ to send a node to the date it was created. There is also a new command to do this: ‘Move to created date’.
🫸 We changed the ‘Move to’ command. ‘Move to’ no longer leaves a reference—instead, use the ‘Move to and leave reference to’ command if this is needed.
☣️ We no longer show the warning “Move stopped as it would overwrite existing information” when dragging items with contextual data between different groups.

Bugs squashed:

🐞 Filtering on text was a bit finicky. It now plays nicer in multiplayer
🐛 Day calendar didn’t reflect changes to clock settings (12/24 hour clock.) They do now!
🐞 We fixed a bug with dragging events in calendar—when Sunday was set as start day, nodes would disappear when moving between weeks.
🐛 Fixed bug where mismatched nodes sometimes disappeared immediately in searches when values were changed.
🐞 ☝️ The same thing happened with checking off items. We fixed.
🐛 We fixed an issue where ‘Group by month’ did not show all nodes.
🐞 Hide field when not empty now let’s you finish writing before hiding.
🐛 Fixes bug where ‘Hide all fields’ also removed nodes.
🐞 You can now move nodes from “not defined” into a date group. You couldn’t before.
🐛 Pasting a URL over a selection created wrong associated data. No longer!
🐞 Group by tags didn’t work for cards view. Now it does.
🐛 We had some bugs when deleting empty search nodes in some circumstances. We fixed it.
🐞 We fixed display of filter on fields with no name.
🐛 ‘Save for everyone’ button appeared too frequently due to how view diffing worked. We improved the detection of changed views in multiplayer mode.
🐞 Pasting text at the end of a line sometimes created a new node instead of just adding text to the current node. We fixed this.
🐛 We fixed some bugs around placing date nodes in the right week around New Year’s.
🐞 We had some bugs with selection. We improved this.
The war on bugs continues! Summer of bugs 2023!
Have a great weekend, Tanarians!
