Friday Release Node

📆 Date: Friday, August 11th, 2023

Improvements:

Commands: We now show a warning if a user puts a field in a target node. When putting a field as target in the target node parameter, you should use a field reference, not create the actual field. Use ctrl/cmd-c in a field name, and then ctrl/cmd-v to copy in a field reference.

Field Reference Example

Commands: The “Insert Clone” command has been changed to “Insert Cloned Nodes”, and you can now insert multiple nodes at the same time.

Commands: ”Run commands on all children” now allows you to target only the nodes in a given field, using the parameter “Look for children in field”.

(This is especially useful for stepped commands – let’s say you insert nodes with tana paste into a field. you can then process those nodes with child commands, then even delete the field once you’re done.)

Bugs squashed:

🐞 Audio Transcriptions were often ending up as big blocks of text—the transcription should now be better at creating sentences.
🐛 When moving multiple nodes using move commands, the orders of the nodes were reversed. They should now appear in the correct order.
🐞 We fixed an issue related to inserting a list of nodes into a field.
🐛 We fixed a bug which accidentally blocked “convert to workspace” in certain scenarios.
