“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” – Oscar Wilde
Are you existing? or are you living?
I know, for sure, that I merely ‘existed’ for a long time…
Right now, I’m not completely sure what my answer to this question is… As you’ve read, ‘living’ is a big deal, and I don’t consider myself to be LIVING fully, yet.
But I can tell you one thing.. I understand what ‘living’ feels like.
Living;to have a life. … Right?
But not “any life”… If “any life” would suffice, we would all be ‘living’ already.
To live is to fully grasp your human existence.
To understand that you are not a body, you merely live in a body.
You are not your job. You are a holistic being, with different areas and aspects in life, which may seem unimportant.. because you may not care about your “health”, or your “physical environment”, but in the end EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.
How you do one thing is how you do everything. If you neglect a part of your life, IT WILL AFFECT ANOTHER ONE. (For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.)
The problem is… You most probably weren’t taught this in school, or anywhere.
You were taught that it’s important to get a good job, and to identify yourself as your job, and to work, work, work.
AND THE REST OF … LIFE … !?
You were never taught that life is a constant balance between different systems.
Heck! Many times you don’t have the awareness that a specific aspect (or system) in your life even exists… let alone that it influences your entire life, with feedback loops to other systems..
To live, you need awareness.
“We cannot change what we are not aware of, and once we are aware, we cannot help but change.” – Sheryl Sandberg
Awareness that you are a holistic being.
Awareness of what are the different aspects, interests, and responsibilities in your life, and how they are all connected.
And finally, awareness of ‘what’ makes up your life.
What does it mean to ‘live’?
And most importantly, what does it mean to live FOR YOU?
What’s your purpose? How does it connect to all the areas of your life and everything that you do each day.
This is why it’s so rare to find someone ‘living’, and not ‘existing’.
Because NO ONE CAN TEACH LIVING. You must learn. FOR YOURSELF. You must do the inner work, no one will do it for you.. BECAUSE no one CAN do it for you.
But what others CAN do is… to show the way.
What if you had a digital map of your life? An external representation to help you make sense of your life, what’s involved, how it’s connected..
Something similar to this diagram:
What if you had a digital environment to externalize, organize, and analyze your life?
A living digital environment, where you can visualize your life, with your: responsibilities, interests, family, notes, books, courses, projects, contemplations, meetings, voice notes, months, weeks, everything.
Everything in the same place.
Imagine a digital playground where you can create a tag to represent anything in your life.
When you have a a tag, you have a digital representation for that thing.
You can then save reflections, images, or links to that thing, and even externalize connections to other things.
And I really mean thing. As in anything.
Thing is a base type for anything.. every thing is a thing: person, location, organization, book, course, concept, room in your home, pet, task, project, nightmare, zodiac sign, they’re all athing.
This means you can create a digital representation for anything.
This helps you understand and visualize your life as a holistic system of interconnected parts.
A big part of the positive effects only happens when you externalize the understanding about your own mind.*
Magic happens when you can organize and visualize how everything is interconnected in your life. (Awareness is an important step towards ‘living’ fully.)
And magic follows when you can use this categorization to organize your notes, and to create knowledge bases that can feed into AI Agents.
SPOILER: Your digital organization will DIRECTLY IMPACT the results you receive from AI. The intelligence from Artificial Intelligence comes from the data. When you have clear organized knowledge, your data is of higher quality, and the results will be of higher quality. It’s really that simple.
Imagine a digital environment, inside Tana, with an interconnected collection of knowledge about everything in your life.
A place to connect areas in life, your vision and purpose, all the important people, books, topics, sources, routines, content, tools, plans, etc.
This is what I call Holistic Life Design.
A digital environment in Tana to visualize and design your ideal life, by externalizing the important aspects of your inner and outer life into Tana, following a powerfully crafted categorization with supertags that are always connected.
The art of designing and living an intentional, deliberate, and connected life.
Your life shall be connected to the whole, and connected within yourself. Just as you are a part of humanity, the different aspects of life are also a part of who you are.
In this process, you can organize your knowledge in such a powerful way, that your experience with AI will become insanely better.
This is what I call the Tana Knowledge Agents.
Tana Knowledge Agents works in combination with the Holistic Life Design. The Holistic Life Design is responsible for organizing your knowledge in a structured way, so that AI Knowledge Agents can access this knowledge and use it to generate personalized analysis, reports, summaries, and more.
TKAis an intelligent system of Knowledge Bases inside Tana, representing the major categories of ‘where you want to save your knowledge’.
Using these categories as Knowledge bases, you can save your #notes, #voice notes, and #meetings into these several categories, and then use this as data for AI Agents.
The main categories are:
• Areas
• Projects
• Action Zones: Clients, Products, Tools, Content
• Contemplation
• Topics
• Sources
You can visualize these categories in more detail in the image below.
Very soon, I will be launching my new cohort:
Holistic Life Design with Tana Knowledge Agents.
A journey into everything I described in this fragment.
How to design a deliberate and intentional life. Using clear categories as knowledge bases to save notes to. So that AI agents can use your personal knowledge to provide you with detailed analysis, reports, connections, searches, summaries and more…

For now, I want to leave you with this unfinished diagram for the categories and structure used in the Holistic Life Design process. (yes I’m sharing something unfinished and I’m secretly terrified.)
I hope this illustrates what I mean with this fragment, and how the process will work.
That’s it for today!
If you have any questions or comments, remember I am one reply away.

*As an example, you can imagine the thing as being a Board Game, I love a board game called The Settlers of Catan. And with a tag for #board game, I have a place to save game results, notes, images, reflections and strategies about the game. Or even to contemplate on how Catan holds a significant importance in my life. Catan has been central in several key moments and social interactions, and I have indirectly influenced dozens (maybe hundreds) of people to learn and play Catan.
When I represent my knowledge about Catan ..and write about it.. I can understand how something extremely simple in my life, such as a board game, had a major impact in my life, family, friendships, and more. It has been connected to SEVERAL other parts of my life.
