“The creative process has a feminine quality, and the creative work arises from unconscious depths—we might truly say from the realm of the Mothers. Whenever the creative force predominates, life is ruled and shaped by the unconscious rather than by the conscious will.”
- Jung, The Spirit in Man, Art, and Literature
“Those who cannot fully grieve also cannot truly praise”
- Martín Prechtel, at the Minnesota Men’s Conference

Themes

The collective unconscious
Remnants
Liminal spaces
Gratitude, as a dimension of, or remedy for, Grief
Death, as a dimension of, or remedy for, Birth
Movement
At the moment, my work and interest are focused on a remnant camas prairie in Northwest Washington that I have been visiting daily, as well as sage grouse courtship monitoring that will be occurring in mid April, in southern Oregon (locations are hidden to protect the grouse)

If you are inspired by these ideas, I am looking for people to collaborate with on the following—

Interpretive movement practice
Interviews for my podcast & newsletter
Letter exchanges
Illustration and painting
Music, sound sculptures, and audio
Video collaborations
If any of these strike your fancy, contact me: [email protected]
